By registering as a Mentor on SprintPivot, you confirm you have read and agree to this agreement. This document governs your role as a contracted reviewer and mentor on the SprintPivot platform.
1. Parties and Nature of Relationship
SprintPivot Ltd ("SprintPivot") provides and operates the career transition platform.
You ("the Mentor") are an independent professional registering to provide project review services.
Employment status: You engage with SprintPivot as an independent contractor, not an employee. You are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance obligations arising from fees earned. SprintPivot does not provide employment benefits, sick pay, or annual leave. You should seek independent tax advice if needed.
2. Mentor Eligibility
To register as a Mentor, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Have at least 2 years of verifiable professional experience in your declared expertise area
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Not have any unspent criminal convictions relating to fraud, dishonesty, or safeguarding
- Not be simultaneously registered as a Job Seeker on the platform
SprintPivot reserves the right to verify your professional credentials and to remove your mentor status if eligibility conditions are not met.
3. Your Services
3.1 What you agree to do
- Review project submissions assigned to your queue within 48 hours of assignment
- Provide a written quality assessment and feedback of at least 50 words per submission
- Assign a final score between 0–100 based on the rubric provided
- Make a grading decision: Approved, Revision Required, or Rejected
- Maintain professional, constructive, and objective standards in all feedback
- Declare any conflicts of interest before reviewing a submission
3.2 What you must not do
- Approve submissions that do not meet the required quality standard
- Reject or downgrade submissions for reasons unrelated to quality (bias, discrimination, personal preference)
- Communicate directly with candidates outside the platform
- Disclose candidate information, candidate codes, or submission content to third parties
- Use submission content for any commercial purpose
- Engage in any conduct that could constitute harassment or discrimination
4. Fees and Payment

SprintPivot reserves the right to withhold payment for reviews deemed to be of insufficient quality, fraudulent, or in breach of this agreement, with written notice provided.
Tax: You are solely responsible for declaring earnings from SprintPivot to HMRC. SprintPivot is not responsible for any tax, NI, or VAT liability arising from your earnings.
5. Confidentiality
You agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding:
- The identity of all candidates (you only ever see a candidate code, never personal information)
- The content of project submissions
- Any SprintPivot platform information, methodology, or employer details
- Any information about other mentors on the platform
This confidentiality obligation survives termination of this agreement for a period of 3 years.
6. Intellectual Property
All feedback, scores, and assessments you produce on the platform are owned by SprintPivot Ltd. You grant SprintPivot an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display your feedback as part of a candidate's portfolio and platform records. You retain no intellectual property rights in feedback once submitted.
7. Quality Standards and Audit
SprintPivot may audit your reviews for quality, consistency, and potential bias. If a pattern of low-quality, inconsistent, or potentially biased reviews is identified, SprintPivot will:
- Provide written feedback and a performance improvement notice
- Reduce assignment volume while the issue is investigated
- Terminate the mentor agreement if the issue is not resolved within 30 days
8. Termination
8.1 Either party may terminate
Either party may terminate this agreement with 14 days' written notice. Pending assignments must be completed before the notice period expires, or returned to the queue.
8.2 Immediate termination by SprintPivot
SprintPivot may terminate immediately if you:
- Breach confidentiality obligations
- Provide fraudulent reviews or falsify assessments
- Engage in discriminatory or harassing conduct
- Are found to have misrepresented your professional credentials
Fees owed for legitimate work completed prior to termination will still be paid.
9. Limitation of Liability
SprintPivot's total liability to you is limited to fees owed for legitimate completed work. SprintPivot is not liable for lost earnings resulting from reduced assignment volume or platform downtime.
10. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved through SprintPivot's internal complaints process before any legal action is taken.
